Share a live arrival link and turn it off

How to give a customer a live arrival link for a job in AquaOps, what they see, and how to turn a link off at any time.

By the AquaOps team

A borehole water supply with an elevated storage tank beside a footpath in Oyo State, Nigeria

An arrival link lets a customer watch the technician come. Open the job and look for the sharing links panel (needs tracking permissions).

Create a link for the job. Send it to the customer; it is a private address that works only for that job.

What the customer sees

The technician’s first name, a map, an estimated arrival and, only while they are on the way with a live signal, the road still ahead. No phone number, no surname and no earlier positions. Your settings choose whether to show the estimate, the route and the name.

Any link can be turned off at any time from the same panel (needs the permission to revoke). A turned-off link shows a plain “not found”.

After the trip

Staff can look back at a finished trip’s route from the job page. Arrival at the site informs people; it never moves a job on its own.

About location

Location is shared with the office and customer only while the technician is working a job, or inside working hours your company has chosen. A web browser cannot track in the background; reliable tracking comes from the phone apps.
