AquaOps

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers. If something is not available yet, we say so.

Product

What is AquaOps?

AquaOps is software for water treatment companies. It handles clients, sites and systems, jobs and scheduling, maintenance contracts, technician phone apps that work offline, a customer portal, quotes, invoices and online payments, inventory, support tickets and reports.

Is it only for RO plants?

No. It is built for any water treatment work: RO plants, water softeners, borehole systems, bottled water plants, pools, industrial systems and facility maintenance. Service types, system types, checklists and reading bands are your own settings.

Can I change the words the software uses?

Yes. A company can rename things, for example call systems "plants" or "units". Statuses, service types, roles and checklists are settings too.

Can I connect sensors and meters?

Device monitoring is in early access. Today technicians enter readings on every visit and each one is judged against your own bands, with trends and a company-wide list, and maintenance reminders and alerts follow your rules. If you want sensors or meters connected, tell us which devices you use and join the early-access list from the contact page.

Pricing

How much does it cost?

There are plans for small teams up to large fleets. Contact us for details; we do not publish prices on this website yet.

Is there a free trial?

Please contact us and ask. We will tell you what is available for your company.

Field work

Does it work offline?

Yes. The technician apps keep the day's jobs on the phone, so the whole visit (checklist, photos, readings, parts and signature) can be done with no signal. Changes sync when the phone is online. If something can no longer be applied, the app says why in plain words.

Which phones are supported?

Android and iPhone apps have been built with the same offline design and are being prepared for release in the app stores. A phone-friendly web version works in a modern browser today.

Is technician location always tracked?

Location is shared while a technician is working a job. A company can also choose working days and hours for team-wide tracking. Technicians can always see that it is on.

Money

Can customers pay online in naira?

Yes. Customers can pay an invoice by card or bank transfer through Paystack, from the invoice link or the customer portal. You can still record cash, transfer, POS and cheque payments yourself.

How does VAT work?

You set your VAT rate and how it is applied in your billing settings. Amounts are stored in whole kobo so totals are exact. We do not give tax advice; please ask your accountant about your obligations.

Who pays the online payment fee?

You choose on each invoice or quote whether the customer pays the processing fee. If they do, it is shown as its own line, so the customer is never charged anything that is not on the document.

Setup

How long does setup take?

It depends on how much you bring in. You can import clients and systems from a CSV spreadsheet instead of typing them. Contact us to talk about your situation.

Can I import my existing client list?

Yes. Clients (with their sites) and systems can be imported from a CSV file. The import checks every row first and shows the problems before anything is created. It never emails anyone unless you ask it to.

Which languages does it support?

The software is in English today. Dates, times, weeks and currency follow your company's regional settings. Other languages are not available yet.

Data and security

Who owns our data?

Your company's data belongs to your company. Lists such as invoices, payments, support tickets and stock can be downloaded as CSV files. Ask us about a full export.

Is our data kept separate from other companies?

Yes. Each company sees only its own records, and a person's access is checked on every request.

What security features are there?

Roles and permissions per company, an activity log, two-step verification with an authenticator app, alerts when someone signs in from a new device, limits on repeated sign-in attempts, and encrypted connections.

How is personal data handled?

We handle personal data under the principles of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. The privacy notice says what we collect, who handles it, how long we keep it and how to use your rights.
